I wish that George had been my dad, my president, and my buddy... but it was good enough just finding out what he had been thinking about from time to time. It is a profound loss to not have his perspective anymore.

In the right hands, comedy has the potential to be the trojan horse where enlightenment hides. A sneaky and subversive enlightenment thats as easy to swallow as a butterscotch covered penicillin.

Making people laugh their way through contemplating uncomfortable things is the highest art form.

I will never start a church, but in George's absence, I will from time to time have to ask myself...
"What would george do?"

Portions of a Sebadoh concert were leaked to the internet today when a member of the band accidentally mixed, tagged and uploaded the files to a public server.

After stopping for the evening in a quaint countryside hotel in the Lakes region of England, en route to Glascow, a quiet few hours of rest turns to natures revenge in the form of "bird rush hour", raising noise levels to a decidedly unrestful level, and continuing for hours.

Sebadoh embark on U.K. / Irish / European tour

After several evenings rehearsing in western Massachusetts and "not taking it very seriously" Sebadoh finds themselves playing shows in Ireland, the U.K. and Europe this month. In desparation, the group invents a pre-show bonding ritual called "group shrug".

The band is also struck with the reality that the US dollar is worth "fuck all", yet continue to buy mediocre cups of coffee for 3.50 Euro ($5.60).

In preparation for their upcoming tour of Europe and the U.K. Sebadoh members have gathered in a very unhip western Massachusetts town in an attempt to remember how to play their own music.

"Forever Close My Eyes" is one of the best songs ever... And @ 7+ minutes its a good value and a nice trip! I saw them play for the first time the other night... Really worthwhile. Their website has more streaming audio from their latest CD.
